Short Game Tuition, Junior Golf Academy, Corporate Golf and Course Design

Mark's Profile:
The youngest ever boys 'Amateur Champion' at just 15 years old Mark has enjoyed one of the longest careers in European Tour history with over 500 tournament appearances. With 4 victories - the Car Care Plan International, Dutch Open and Mauritius Open (twice) as well as 15 representative appearances for Wales in the World Cup and Dunhill Cup competitions he brings to the Academy a wealth of international golfing experience and knowledge.

Always recognised for a great short game, Mark was the No 1 putter on tour two years in succession and still holds the record of just 19 putts in a round of tournament golf. His assistant at the Academy, Mark McKay, has many years experience as a club professional and tutor and together they can help players of all ages and experience in their development and their short game in particular in the ideal training environment at Nailcote Hall.

Short Game & Junior Academy:
The Nailcote academy set up is the ideal training situation for beginners of all ages as the length of the 9 hole course does not intimidate by distance and allows everyone to develop a sense of golfing achievement quickly.

The training area alongside the par 3 course includes a superb synthetic 'Southwest Greens' floodlit putting area endorsed by many of the worlds top players including Vijay Singh as the nearest putting surface to a tournament green. Two practice nets, training bunker and chipping area provide everything that's needed to be able to develop players of all ages and all levels of ability from beginner to low handicapped or even professionals.

Individual lessons are available from £10 for junior under 12 and 9 hole playing lessons from £25. Adult lessons start at £30 and playing lessons at £70. Group tuition is also available.

Corporate Golf:
Golf Days/Clinics - With the benefit of 25 years experience of playing the European Tour on courses in the UK and overseas clients can tailor their ideal golfing event with Mark's assistance. Whether you need professionals, celebrities, after dinner speakers, trick shot shows or event planning, Mark's knowledge of the world of golf will make your event special and memorable for your clients.

Corporate 4 Balls - Make lunch or dinner with a round of golf something special for friends or clients. A corporate 4 ball with Mark will be a unique golfing experience, not only with playing tips as you go round but also plenty of stories and an intimate insight of the world of golf and many of the top players Mark has played with and against during his career. To finish off your day you will be given a 'tips to go' note from Mark to help keep your game sharp and also the opportunity to email for 30 days and have an internet lesson free of charge. Corporate 4 balls are £250 per person excluding green fees, meals and drinks.

Course Design - Mark's career has taken him all over the world and having played on many world class courses he has the knowledge and drive to design or re-design your ideal golf course. Having spent time talking with the game's leading course designers including Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Dave Thomas, Mark offers a great service in course design.
